Since the last news update, we have:
a) Been very pleased to see our chairman Chris E. recognised with a “Outstanding Contribution to the Local Area” award from Wilmslow Town Council. It is well deserved recognition for all the hard work that Chris has put in over the years. Congratulations Chris!

b) Reduced the number of scheduled litter picks from 2 to 1 each month. Unfortunately, we decided to cancel the June pick when we found out that the “Wilmslow Live” event was happening in and around Bank Square. We did however tidy up after this event and received a donation towards our running costs. Several volunteers turned out and collected at least 8 bags.
c) Continued with our solo picks. Areas covered include Styal Road, Cliff Road, Chancel Lane, The Carrs, Church Street, Lacey Green, Water Lane, Kennerley’s Lane, Hawthorn Lane, Altrincham Road, Alderley Road, Racecourse Road, Chapel Lane, Grove Street, Green Lane, Grove Avenue, Kings Road, Morley Green Road.
Many thanks to everyone who did a solo pick – especially Andy, Alex, Yoko, Garzyna, Chris E., Ian, Helen, Alan, Julie, Liz and Peter. Apologies if I have missed anyone.
d) Continued to support the students who are litter picking for the voluntary section of their Duke of Edinburgh scheme. Huge thanks to Gareth and Alex who have both finished their 12 solo picks. We are now aiming to support a new student, Mark, who also wants to litter pick.
e) Reported some fly tipping to Cheshire East
