Since the last news update, we have:
a) Continued with our twice monthly litter picks :
8 volunteers met at The Honey Bee on Wednesday 3rd May.
We concentrated on the A538 from the Waters roundabout to the airport tunnels as well as venturing into Morley Green & Eccups Rd.
We collected at least 15 bags.
We also contacted ANSA to arrange the removal of a dead animal.
At least 21 (possibly a record turnout), plus a few small children, met at The Parish Hall, on Monday 8th May, for our “Big Help Out” litter pick.
We were very happy to see so many volunteers on a wet day and it was lovely to see some new faces.
We collected at least 29 bags all over the surrounding area.
We also got had a summary published on wilmslow.co.uk
Thanks to everyone who participated.
b) Did some tidying up after the Coronation celebrations in the town centre – special thanks to Stuart for all his hard work.
c) Continued with our solo picks.
d) Lent some equipment to the 4th Wilmslow Scout group. They did a fantastic job around the High School and collected a massive haul.
e) Scheduled a committee meeting for 13th June.
